What is "The Senior Experience"?

This is one of the most exciting times of your life.  We provide the best senior portrait experience in the Detroit Metro area.  Let us capture your style & personality, like only we can in a fun senior session.  You and your family will have beautiful, timeless images as well as memories that will last a lifetime.

Let's walk through a timeline of what the Senior Experience really is:

Your journey begins with the end in mind

Pre-Consultation

We absolutely love getting to know our seniors and their families. One of the ways that we get to know you is through your pre-session consultation in our studio.  We will get together so you can begin to get comfortable with who will be photographing your session.  You will also get a tour of the studio, get a chance to look at some of our award winning photos from previous seniors as well as have an opportunity to share your expectations from start to finish.

We’ll talk about your style, personality and hobbies/interests. We will also talk about your vision for the photo shoot and go over possible locations and clothing options. We will also talk about where these images will be displayed & go over our Senior Product Showcase and help you discover the best products to display your finished images.

Getting To Know You

After choosing us as your senior experience, we will send you a short senior questionnaire to help us get to know your personality and style even better,  The questionnaire helps us plan the perfect session specifically for you. Once you complete the questionnaire, we will prepare an experience just for you. We will plan locations and times that best match your interests and chosen outfits. Finding out who YOU are and what you love is important in giving you exactly what you envision for your session. It will be fun, because it is all about YOU.

The entire pre-session process is simply to help you feel completely comfortable with us, our studio and about the entire senior experience. Making you feel comfortable in front of the camera is important in giving you images that tell the world who you are. 

​

As we look to finalize our session together, just know; wherever you are you, we can go!  We can do an urban session downtown or a tranquil field setting, in-studio/in your home, your favorite hang-out, on/in a field, with a friend/pet...  The sky is the limit....  Do you have some fun props you want to incorporate? Bring them and let's have a blast!  How about that beloved first car?  Let's get a shot of you with it!  I am open to any ideas you may have.

Photo Day is Here!

The senior experience is all about YOU. We want you to feel special!

​

Your day begins with either a professional session with one of our make-up artists & hair stylists (4 of our 6 session options include professional hair & make-up) or your own personal make-up session. Whether you prefer a glamorous model look or a more natural styled look, you get to choose based on your style.

​

After your hair and make-up is complete, we will talk about your outfits and accessories. Then your photo shoot begins. We pride ourselves on being able to deliver an exciting & fun experience you’ll never forget. We will give you an amazing photo shoot and work closely with you to capture a variety of poses in various locations. He will capture images of you that bring out your personality and style in a variety of ways. He even captures those fun and spontaneous candid moments that you will want to share with friends and family.

Editing

The work doesn't end at the photo-shoot.  Immediately following our time together, we begin to work behind the scenes and pull together the best images from the day.  We know you are anxious and excited to see your images. We are just as anxious and excited to reveal them to you, but editing is essential in presenting you with spectacular, iconic images.

​

The editing process is just as creative as the photo session. I personally edit each and every image I photographs.  I will evaluate and fine tune many areas of each image, such as exposure and color balance. This brings out the best quality in your final images. I will also evaluate the need for professional filters such as skin softening and apples any minor touch-ups.

​

The Big Reveal

2 weeks from your senior session is the Big Reveal!  This is the best part!  We will get back together at our studio and go through each image.  From there, we can talk about narrowing down the choices to decide which images will go where and what to include in your album!  Don't worry, this isn't a high pressure sales job at all - we want you to have all the time you need to decide.  Which, is why we will post these photos in an online gallery for you to share with friends and family, get some feedback so you can be absolutely sure which images go where.
